Leftovers, Gratitude, and a Whole Lot of Heart: My Thanksgiving Takeaways

So Thanksgiving’s officially in the rearview mirror... but let’s be real, those leftovers are still living their best life! I’m pretty sure I’ll be eating turkey and mashed potatoes ‘til Christmas at this rate. Anyone else still knee-deep in holiday food? Yeah, I thought so.

Now, a little fun fact: My family and I don’t get together much—life’s busy, y’know? Growing up, Thanksgiving wasn’t really on the radar. My family’s from Thailand, so we didn’t exactly have a turkey-and-gravy tradition. But here’s the kicker: Over the past decade, we’ve totally jumped on the Thanksgiving bandwagon. And let me tell you, it’s become a seriously special time for us. Now, I get to eat a mountain of food AND have an excuse to hang out with family (which is kind of a big deal when everyone's got their own life to lead).

So, while our hangouts might be few and far between, I just want to take a moment to shout out to all of you amazing humans. From my family to yours, thank you for being the light in this wild world. Even when we’re not all in the same place, you make life so much more colorful!

I hope your Thanksgiving was full of good food, good company, and maybe just a little bit of downtime (but not too much, because let’s be honest—who doesn’t love a bit of chaos with their turkey?). Now, let’s buckle up and get ready for the rest of this holiday season. It’s gonna be epic, my friends!
